|This page documents a policy of RITpedia. All content and users should strive to adhere to it.|
Scope refers to the breadth and depth of content allowed in the wiki. At RITpedia, our scope is anything with a material and demonstratable relationship to RIT.
For example, an article about Nick Tahou's is not within our scope (for that, head over to the ROCWiki), but an article about Bill Destler's banjo collection is. Articles about the night clubs Tilt or High Fidelity are outside our scope, but articles about a performer from Tilt coming to RIT might be.
Basically, the content you contribute should be be related to RIT in a meaningful way. Things only tangentially related to the school (such as a business in Henrietta, where our campus is located) do not belong on RITpedia, but may be mentioned in the context of other articles.
For student organizations with a presence outside of just RIT (such as fraternities and sororities, content unrelated to the RIT chapter, group, club, etc. does not belong on RITpedia. However, you are free to provide external links to appropriate national/international websites, Wikipedia articles, etc.
