Scope refers to the breadth and depth of content allowed in the wiki. At Ritpedia, our scope is anything with a material and demonstratable relationship to RIT.

For example, an article about Nick Tahou's is not within our scope (for that, head over to the ROCWiki), but an article about Bill Destler's banjo collection is. Articles about the night clubs Tilt or High Fidelity are outside our scope, but articles about a performer from Tilt coming to RIT might be.

Basically, the content you contribute should be in a meaningful way be related to RIT. Things only tangentially related to the school (such as a business in Henrietta) do not belong on Ritpedia, but may be mentioned in the context of other articles.
