Multidisciplinary Senior Design (MSD) is a two-semester course for senior KGCOE undergraduate engineering students. It involves team-based projects that see a prototype product or process through the engineering design process. Each team project is overseen by an adviser, referred to as a guide, and reports their progress and final product to a stakeholder. Students are required to track their progress using a confluence wiki, EDGE

There are seven different MSD "technology tracks":

  • Biomedical Systems
  • Energy and Sustainable Systems
  • Vehicle Systems
  • Autonomous Systems and Controls
  • Printing and Imaging
  • Chemical and Materials Processing
  • Process Innovation
