The Asian American Alliance (Abbreviation: AAA) was approved by the Club Review Board on November 3, 2016. It is an affiliate of the AALANA Collegiate Association
The AAA's mission is to empower students through political activism, community engagement, and social awareness of APIA (Asian and Pacific Islander Americans) issues.
We tackle APIA issues from social and political perspectives while still encompassing the intricacies of diverse Asian cultures, with emphasis on the idea that there is no one single Asian-American experience, but a multitude.
AAA seeks to be a place where people of all backgrounds can stand united to empower the community.
The RIT Asian American Alliance was inspired by University of Rochester's branch, which was created in 2015.
