Alfred L. Davis served as the vice president of RIT.

Davis was commonly called "Mr. RIT". He helped put together the Nathaniel Rochester Society; donated to form Margaret's House in the name of his wife, Margaret Welcher Davis; helped establish the Four Presidents Distinguished Public Service Award; and helped bring the Cary Library to RIT. The Davis Room is named after him.[1]
