Student Information System (abbreviation: SIS) is a service provided to students.
The SIS is what RIT calls our PeopleSoft program. It is used for almost universal management. RIT began using the program in 2013 with the initial plan of not customizing it. The program did end up being customized, but SIS has been fairly static since that point.
SIS is used for more functions than registering for classes. For example, event spaces are reserved by a scheduling officer in the system.
There are also a few additional programs that are in use to supplement SIS on the faculty side.
