The Networking, Security and Systems Administration Department (NSSA) was a part of the Informatics School with Golisano College of Computing & Information Sciences. It ceased to exist in 2012, at the conclusion of the 2011-12 academic year. The department offered a BS degree in both of these programs and is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET. The department is located on the second floor of the GCCIS building and is chaired is Professor Sylvia Perez-Hardy. The Applied Networking and Systems Administration (ANSA) program was absorbed into the Department of Information Sciences and Technologies. The Information Security and Forensics (ISF) program was broken off into the newly formed Department of Computing Security. The department previously consisted of two programs: Applied Networking and Systems Administration and Information Security and Forensics.
