If any policy or guideline interferes with you improving or maintaining RITpedia, ignore it. The sole exception to this rule is the content licensing.

Keep in mind, you are still bound by Institution policies.

What it means

You do not need to read any rules before contributing to RITpedia. As long as you are trying to improve the site, be bold and make changes. If there's an established policy or guideline on something, other users will try to direct your efforts into the generally-accepted direction.

Do not feel constrained by the rules. They are in place to make the site more accessible and usable, not to get in the way of people contributing useful content. Your efforts are not in vain, and every constructive edit is appreciated.
