The College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) is a RIT college.

About

Founded in 1973, CAST houses the School of Engineering Technology and the School of International Hospitality and Service Innovation. It is known throughout the RIT, national, and international communities as THE place of choice for an education that embraces the integration of “hands-on learning” and application with a firm grounding in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects. They have an outstanding faculty and staff, world class facilities and equipment, innovative curricula, and an infrastructure and campus that support unparalleled academic experiences. Academic experiences occur inside and outside the classroom, academically and socially, and personally and professionally.[1]

It was a merger from the already existing School of Applied Science, Department of Computer Science and Technology, Department of Packaging Science, and the Center for Community/Junior College Relations.[2]
